Press Release, April 9
The Norwegian Democrats are pleased to announce that the French thinker and politician Jean-Yves Le Gallou will be participating virtually in this year’s remigration conference, ReMig26, to be held in Oslo on June 13.
Le Gallou is a graduate of the École nationale d’administration (ENA) and has been a key figure in European intellectual debate for several decades. He is president of Polémia, co-founder of the Iliade Institute, and a former member of the European Parliament. Today, he is affiliated with the French party Reconquête.
Throughout a long life in the intellectual and political sphere, Le Gallou has been active in a number of circles, including GRECE, Club de l’Horloge, and Rassemblement national (RN, “National Rally”), formerly the Front national (FN, “National Front”).
He himself describes the battle of ideas as his life’s work, a struggle he has waged on the ideological, political, and media fronts, with particular emphasis on freedom, identity, and sovereignty.
He has been a clear voice in what he refers to as the struggle between established power structures and dissident circles, and points to the rise of the internet as a turning point that has opened up new opportunities for voices critical of the system.
Through his work, he has helped develop concepts, analyses, and perspectives that are central to the European public debate today.
In his latest book, translated into English, Remigration: For a Europe for Our Children (2026), Le Gallou argues that the main challenge of our time is not about managing migration, but about reversing the trend.
He highlights the principle that people have the right to remain themselves in their own countries, and presents both historical examples as well as political and legal frameworks for remigration in the 21st century.

– For decades, Jean-Yves Le Gallou has been one of the key driving forces behind the development of a European ideological initiative.
His work in formulating concepts, building institutions, and strengthening an intellectual counterculture has had a profound impact on how issues of identity, sovereignty, and remigration are understood today.
We are therefore very pleased to have him join us at ReMig26, says Anne Cecilie Kristensen of the Norwegian Democrats.
The Remigration Conference on June 13 will bring together Norwegian and international voices for a debate on the future of Europe, national sovereignty, and migration.
